the after backlit is really good but one of the most common issues i see is that the subject looks kinda flat, i think a light from the side would add more shadows and contrast, thank you so much i never thought about that backlit part

actually, I would think a comparision in dark scenario would be more fair considering the big aperture from f1.2. Daylight pictures, I am not expecting much difference..

Ok I got a new Mac and went to reload my VF presets and I was presented with this. Now how do I get my presets back with impossible things. Because they didn't come over with it.

my idea: if you've only got one umbrella, just fire the first flash against the white wall; use the umbrella and second flash just like umbrella #2.

But must don't make any effort... No matter what we're lighting up.. Just need 3 basin lights.. Key fill and back... And expands from there if needed and can afford

Not seeing the difference between the DS and non-DS version is disqualifying yourself in one view.

Comparing the 70-200 with the 85mm f/1.2 DS is comparing the worst bokeh version of the 85. Yes you can say the DS blurs more (Gaussian type), but the background is more present than with the non-DS version.

Which you recommend Evoto or Impossible Thing for batch editing

now this might be a dumb question, but can it work with jpeg files, unfortunately I've got my wedding photos from the photographer in jpeg, and not very satisfied, so I'm kind of going into this very amateur and blind, I'd love to invest even for a little while to make my wedding photos better, but only if it's possible to upload jpeg format. Help please, couldn't find info on what file formats are supported.. thanks!!

I know I'm 4 years too late here, but... Lee's photos really DID get messed up in post. They really are good shots, but they lack aesthetically pleasing color and tonal contrast. But, his images almost look like a LUT that you might see on a big-budget movie. I'm not sure that there's a "right" or "wrong" way to do any of this...just what LOOKS BETTER to the majority of people. What a fun video!!! LOL

You show us a heavily edited version of the portrait VS the first photo straight out of the camera. Plus one is a full body photo VS a close up photo.. You should have shown us how to take a full body photo without distractions and then leave both normal or edit both shots to compare.
